Notably, LA County supervisor Lindsey Horvath recently announced her decision not to run, opting instead to pursue re-election to the board of supervisors. Earlier this week, former Los Angeles Unified School District superintendent Austin Beutner and billionaire developer Rick Caruso also declared that they would not seek the mayoral position.
