Breaking News: Day 1,453 of Russia’s War on Ukraine

On Sunday, Russian forces attacked multiple regions in Ukraine, injuring six in Dnipropetrovsk, three in Sumy, and two in Zaporizhzhia, according to local officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia launched approximately 1,300 drones and over 1,200 guided bombs in the past week.
In Kyiv, around 1,600 buildings are still without heating due to recent attacks on energy infrastructure. Russian strikes damaged railroad systems in Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk.
The Ukrainian military conducted a successful strike on an oil terminal in southern Russia, near Crimea. They also targeted the Black Sea port of Taman, resulting in damage and fires.
In response, Russia downed five drones near Moscow. A Ukrainian attack left five municipalities in the Bryansk region without heat and electricity.
Russia’s Ministry of Defence announced the capture of the village of Tsvitkove in Zaporizhia. The army chief claimed that several villages in eastern Ukraine were seized in February.
In political news, Ukraine’s former energy minister was arrested while attempting to leave the country. Ukraine has secured new military support from European allies, but EU membership remains uncertain.
