Breaking News: Israeli Settlers Force Families to Dismantle Homes

Israeli settlers have forced 15 Palestinian families to dismantle their homes in the northern Jordan Valley, according to local officials. Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the al-Malih Village Council, reported that the families began the process amid increasing threats and assaults from settlers.

Additionally, seven families from the nearby Maita community were also compelled to leave their homes days earlier due to similar pressures. In another incident, settlers attacked men from Nabi Samwil village, injuring one, who required hospitalization.

This escalation follows a series of Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank, including raids and demolitions reported in Nablus, Al Khader, and Salfit. The Israeli government has introduced measures that facilitate settler land purchases and reclassify Palestinian land as state property.

Palestinians express concerns that these actions could lead to formal annexation of the territory, undermining hopes for a future Palestinian state. International reactions include a joint statement from several countries condemning the Israeli government’s actions as a serious escalation of illegal settlement activity.
