England Dominates New Zealand in Second T20, Bowls Out Kiwis for 33 Runs

Breaking News: England Defeats New Zealand in Second T20

England faced New Zealand in the second T20 match, quickly putting pressure on the tourists by reducing them to 11-4. New Zealand’s Sophie Devine and Maddy Green had previously staged a recovery, but this time England’s bowlers dominated.

Devine, a key player for New Zealand, was dismissed for a duck after a weak shot to mid-off. Her wicket was critical as New Zealand’s middle order collapsed from 29-1 to 33-6.

At one point, New Zealand’s lowest T20 total of 60 runs, set against England in 2015, seemed at risk. However, Jess Kerr managed to avoid that record before falling to Issy Wong.

England’s spinners played a significant role, taking six wickets for just 39 runs in 11.1 overs. Linsey Smith took 2-15, Dean claimed 3-13, and Sophie Ecclestone had 1-11.

This performance sets a strong foundation for England as they prepare for upcoming challenges this summer.
