Breaking News: U.S. and Iran Near Peace Deal, Signing Date Disputed; Trump Claims Agreement Set for Sunday

Breaking News: U.S. and Iran Peace Deal Discussions

The United States and Iran are reportedly close to signing a peace deal. U.S. President Donald Trump and Pakistani mediators say the agreement is set to be signed on Sunday. However, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the signing will not happen on that date.

Iran’s main negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, emphasized Iran’s determination to achieve “final victory” amid ongoing conflict. Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, claimed that Israel’s attempts to weaken Iran have failed.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, announced that the agreement includes 14 points, including lifting the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports and ending hostilities in various regions. Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz would be open to all following the signing.

Iranian officials have not confirmed a specific signing date, though it may occur in the coming days. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the agreement could be finalized within the next 24 hours and may be signed electronically.

Meanwhile, U.S. military officials reported that Iran attempted to strike commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, but U.S. forces intercepted all drones.
