Breaking: Paris Attractions Close Amid Heatwave; Drownings Reported in France and Germany

Breaking News: Heatwave Impacts Europe

Paris is facing extreme heat, affecting major landmarks. The Louvre Museum announced it will close earlier due to concerns about its historic building and the high number of visitors. The Eiffel Tower also closed early on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tragic incidents have occurred due to the heat. A six-year-old boy drowned at an unsupervised beach in Bègles, Gironde. A 17-year-old girl drowned in a prohibited area of the Marne river near Paris.

In Germany, a 26-year-old man died after swimming in the Danube River near Regensburg. Emergency services searched for him for hours, but resuscitation efforts failed when he was found.

Temperatures in Germany are expected to reach 37°C. Authorities are warning people about the dangers of swimming and urging water conservation in regions like Brandenburg and Hesse due to potential drought.

In Spain, temperatures have been extremely high, with red heat alerts in northern regions. The country recorded its highest daily average temperatures for June since 1950. Italy has also issued red heat alerts for 16 provincial capitals, including Latina and Bari.
