Breaking News: Actor Micheal Ward Faces Rape Charges
A court has heard that actor Micheal Ward is accused of raping and sexually assaulting a woman in London in 2023. The 28-year-old, known for his roles in the film Blue Story and Netflix’s Top Boy, allegedly attacked the woman in a car shortly after meeting her at a bar.
During the trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court, the woman described feeling “numb” and “scared” during the incidents. She stated, “I wanted it all to be over.” Ward denies two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault, claiming all sexual activity was consensual.
The woman met Ward at a nightclub and felt flattered when he asked for her Snapchat. They kissed, and she consented to some intimate touching. The alleged assault occurred in a car near an afterparty.
In her police interview, the woman said she tried to leave the vehicle but was told to close the door. After his arrest, Ward stated, “I deny the allegation of rape,” asserting that their encounter was consensual.
The trial is ongoing.
