Breaking: Israeli Air Strike on Hamas Police Post in Gaza Kills At Least Seven, Including Senior Officer

Breaking News: Israeli Air Strike in Gaza

An Israeli air strike on a Hamas-run police post in northern Gaza has resulted in at least seven deaths, including a senior police officer. Health and police officials confirmed the casualties.

Witnesses reported that an Israeli drone fired four missiles at the police post located near a busy market in Jabalia. The Hamas-run interior ministry identified the deceased as Col. Mohammed Marwan Salem, the head of the local police station, among others.

An Israeli military official acknowledged the strike, stating it targeted “terrorists.” Additionally, two more individuals were killed in southern Gaza on the same day. A separate air strike in Khan Younis killed one man and injured three others, according to medics. The Israeli military claimed the attack was aimed at a Hamas operative.

In Rafah, a 10-year-old boy named Muataz Abu Shaar was reportedly killed by Israeli gunfire. The Israeli military has not commented on this incident.

Both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating a ceasefire in place since last October. Gaza’s health ministry reports over 1,110 fatalities due to Israeli fire since then.
