Breaking News: Teenagers Convicted in Fatal Stabbing Case
Three teenagers have been convicted in connection with the murder of Kayden Moy. The court heard that Mark Stewart KC, representing one of the accused, stated his client did not intend to kill but accepted responsibility for the act.
Donald Findlay KC, who spoke for another defendant, mentioned that the two accused were once close friends. He noted that violent behavior had become common among two rival groups. Findlay also stated that his client regrets the incident and has been deeply affected since the conviction.
One of the teenagers, who was 14 at the time, will remain in secure accommodation until he turns 19, after which he will be transferred to prison. His attorney highlighted his traumatic upbringing and engagement in educational programs while detained.
Moira Orr, of the Crown Office, emphasized that all three defendants made themselves potential murderers by arming themselves with knives. She stated that Cole Turley delivered the fatal blow, but all three were involved in planning and executing the crime. The court proceedings underscored the serious consequences of carrying weapons.
