“Nothing Opens First Indian Store in Bengaluru, Showcasing Innovative Tech and Customization!”

Nothing Opens Its First Retail Store in India: A New Chapter for the Innovative Tech Brand

Bengaluru, India – Nothing, the innovative hardware company backed by Tiger Global, has officially launched its first retail store in India, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. Located in Bengaluru, this new storefront taps into one of Nothing’s largest user bases in the country, reflecting the brand’s commitment to its Indian customers.

The two-story retail space is designed to showcase a variety of products from Nothing, as well as its budget-friendly brand, CMF. Customers visiting the store will have the opportunity to purchase hardware items, explore unique merchandise, and even customize select products to their preference.

Carl Pei, co-founder and CEO of Nothing, emphasized the store’s engaging design, which draws inspiration from the brand’s manufacturing processes. “We wanted to create a fun space that reflects all aspects of our brand,” Pei noted. “For instance, customers can see elements related to our production line and the rigorous testing processes that our products undergo, such as USB port testing and water resistance assessments.”

The store will feature offerings from both Nothing and CMF, the latter of which was spun off last year and is headquartered in India. CMF operates through a joint venture with local original design manufacturer (ODM) Optiemus, allowing for tailored products that cater to the Indian market.

Pei clarified the distinctions between the two brands, stating, “Nothing is positioned as a more niche brand with higher-priced products, while CMF is aimed at a broader audience. Although CMF targets mass-market consumers, it is not simply a collection of off-the-shelf rebranded products; each item is crafted with care.”

According to analyst firm IDC, India has become Nothing’s strongest market, with the company capturing over 2% of the smartphone market share as of last year. The brand was also recognized as the fastest-growing in the country during Q2 2025, achieving an impressive 85% year-over-year growth in shipments.

In addition to Nothing, other technology companies are also establishing aspirational retail experiences in India. For example, Apple is set to open its sixth store in Borivali, Mumbai, this month, highlighting the competitive landscape of tech retail in the region.

This Bengaluru store marks the first Nothing location outside of its London headquarters. The company has plans to expand further, with intentions to open additional stores in Tokyo and New York, although specific timelines have yet to be announced.

Nothing’s growth trajectory has been supported by substantial financial backing, including a recent $200 million Series C funding round led by Tiger Global, which valued the company at $1.3 billion. To date, Nothing has successfully raised a total of $450 million, positioning it strongly for future ventures.

As Nothing continues to innovate and expand, its entry into the Indian retail market not only enhances its brand presence but also offers local consumers an engaging way to connect with its products.
