Position Available: R&D Packaging Analyst UFS – River Plate
We are currently seeking an R&D Packaging Analyst to join our Development team in Argentina. This role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and technical validation of packaging for the Food Solutions portfolio in Argentina, ensuring product superiority, quality, efficiency, and compliance with Unilever’s global standards.
You will play a crucial role in collaborating with various departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, suppliers, and regional teams, bringing technical insight, creativity, and agile execution to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop packaging and technical specifications aligned with UFS global standards and local business needs.
- Ensure the technical implementation of packaging in production facilities by leading tests, validations, and industrial trials.
- Collaborate with key areas to ensure technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and packaging performance.
- Serve as a technical reference for innovation projects, continuous improvement, and new developments in Food Solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical development and implementation of packaging for Food Solutions products in Argentina.
- Create packaging specifications, develop artwork, and manage technical documentation and PLM platforms.
- Evaluate flexible and rigid materials, plan industrial trials, and oversee all stages of technical validation.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure packaging meets UL requirements and operational performance.
- Represent R&D Packaging to local/regional Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, third parties, and internal Packaging/Technology experts.
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose new technical solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure the successful implementation of innovation projects and renovations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Food Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, or Packaging Technology.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in packaging development, Supply Chain, or related technical fields.
- Previous experience with packaging suppliers, leading projects or serving as a technical reference (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with local and international teams.
- Autonomy, proactivity, and the ability to work with agility.
- Disruptive mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
- Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
