Job Title: PM Supervisor
1. Job Purpose
The PM Supervisor is responsible for leading the Professional Maintenance (PM) pillar, ensuring machine reliability, stable operations, and a continuous reduction in breakdowns through effective PM systems. This role involves overseeing PM Technicians, implementing PM standards (AM/PM), executing preventive maintenance, and conducting technical root cause analysis to achieve Zero Breakdown and optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
2. Scope of Responsibilities
- Lead a team of PM Technicians and coordinate activities with Production Front Line Managers (FLMs), Process Engineers, Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx), Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE), and Quality teams.
- Ensure the effective execution of PM tasks (Steps 1–7) and alignment with AM Pillar Owners.
- Maintain critical equipment reliability for assigned production lines and technologies.
- Support the delivery of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Unified Manufacturing System (UMS) roadmap within the PM pillar.
3. Key Responsibilities
A. Equipment Reliability & Preventive Maintenance
- Plan, schedule, and execute PM plans on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Achieve over 95% on-time completion of PM work orders.
- Develop PM Standards, Maintenance Procedures (MPs), and equipment checklists.
- Ensure machines meet Zero Breakdown criteria and comply with engineering technical standards.
- Identify and implement improvements to minimize major losses, including breakdowns, speed loss, and minor stops.
B. Breakdown Analysis & Technical Troubleshooting
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and CIL/CL insights.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Provide high-level technical support for troubleshooting critical equipment.
C. PM Pillar Leadership
- Drive PM Pillar initiatives and enhance the capabilities of PM Technicians and Operators.
- Support the development of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) through Steps 1–5, reduction of tags, and updates to critical loss (CL) documentation.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Early Equipment Management (EEM).
- Facilitate World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and TPM improvement projects, focusing on the elimination of technical losses.
D. People Development
- Manage the skill matrix for PM Technicians and ensure they are certified in required competencies.
- Conduct technical training on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Mentor PM Technicians and assist in succession planning for PM roles.
E. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Enforce safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements, including LOTO, machine safety, chemical handling, work-at-height, hot work, and confined space protocols.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with SHE, Quality Assurance (QA), Food Safety System Certification (FSSC), and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records for SHE, maintenance work orders, equipment history, and technical documentation.
F. Cost & Vendor Management
- Manage spare parts consumption and maintenance operating expenses (OPEX), identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure spare parts availability.
- Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and scope of work expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of TPM, UMS, WCM, PM & AM processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Solid technical background in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with process equipment and P&ID is advantageous.
- Experience in RCA, maintenance planning, and CMMS/SAP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
