Breaking News: Anthony Joshua Signs Deal to Fight Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua has officially signed a deal to fight Tyson Fury, according to promoter Eddie Hearn. This announcement comes as Joshua prepares for a comeback fight against Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Joshua has not fought since December, when he was involved in a fatal car crash in Nigeria that led to the deaths of two members of his team. His last fight was against Jake Paul.
Despite years of negotiations, a match between Joshua and Fury has never taken place. Hearn confirmed on social media that the fight is now “signed, sealed and delivered.”
Joshua must first defeat Prenga, who has a record of 20 wins, all by stoppage, and one loss. A date and venue for the Joshua vs. Fury fight have not yet been announced, but it could take place in November, potentially on Netflix.
Fury recently called out Joshua after his fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov. Team Fury stated they have signed their part of the contract and are awaiting Joshua’s confirmation.
Joshua expressed his eagerness to return to the ring, stating, “I’m looking forward to competing and picking up where I left off.”
