Breaking News: England Announces T20 and ODI Squads Ahead of World Cup; Sarah Glenn Out with Injury

Breaking News: England Women’s Cricket Teams Announced

The England women’s cricket teams for the upcoming series and World Cup have been announced.

Lauren Bell will lead the pace attack, supported by Lauren Filer and Issy Wong. All-rounders Dani Gibson and Freya Kemp will provide seam-bowling options.

Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn has not been selected due to a broken finger and has not played this season.

England will begin their World Cup campaign against Sri Lanka on June 12 at Edgbaston. They will also play white-ball series against New Zealand and India before the tournament.

The T20 squads are the same as those for the World Cup. Wicketkeeper Kira Chathli and all-rounder Jodi Grewcock have received their first call-ups for the one-day internationals against New Zealand.

Notably, Beaumont, who has played 140 one-day internationals, is not included in either squad.

England T20 Squad:
Nat Sciver-Brunt (captain), Charlie Dean (vice-captain), Lauren Bell, Alice Capsey, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Sophie Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, Dani Gibson, Amy Jones (wk), Freya Kemp, Heather Knight, Linsey Smith, Issy Wong, Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

ODI Squad vs. New Zealand:
Nat Sciver-Brunt (captain), Em Arlott, Lauren Bell, Alice Capsey, Kira Chathli, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, Mahika Gaur, Dani Gibson, Jodi Grewcock, Amy Jones (wk), Freya Kemp, Heather Knight, Emma Lamb, Linsey Smith, Issy Wong.
