A feud involving former Rangers Football Club ultras leader Ross McGill and imprisoned drug dealer Mark Richardson has led to significant violence. Police have responded to 84 incidents of disorder related to this conflict.

Authorities arrested 64 individuals and executed 55 search and arrest warrants. In the operation, seven firearms and various weapons were seized. To ensure safety, over 90 safeguarding plans were established for vulnerable individuals affected by the feud.

Some cases linked to this situation, known as Operation Portaledge, have resulted in severe sentences. Arran Reid was sentenced to eight years and four months for a machete attack on a businessman connected to Richardson.

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to address the violence and its impact on the community.
