Breaking News: Nottingham Forest to Offer £45m for Lucas Bergvall
Nottingham Forest is preparing to make a £45 million offer for Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall. This comes after Spurs rejected Forest’s initial bid of £38 million last week.
Bergvall, a 20-year-old Sweden international, is reportedly eager to join Forest. He had limited playing time at Tottenham last season under manager Roberto de Zerbi, often not playing in his preferred position.
In his first press conference as Forest’s new manager, Oliver Glasner spoke about player acquisitions but did not mention Bergvall directly. He expressed hope that new players would join the team soon as they prepare for a training camp in Portugal.
Bergvall joined Tottenham from Djurgarden in 2024 and was named the club’s player of the year in his first Premier League season. He has 14 caps for Sweden and competed in the recent World Cup.
In addition to Bergvall, Forest is seeking another midfielder after Elliot Anderson’s recent transfer to Manchester City. The club aims to focus on quality signings rather than a large number of players. They also need a goalkeeper and a striker to support the current squad.
