Bournemouth’s Alex Scott Set for England Debut in World Cup Warm-Up Matches in the U.S.

Breaking News: Alex Scott Set for England Debut

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is expected to make his England debut in upcoming World Cup warm-up games in the United States. He joins supplementary squad members Rio Ngumoha, Josh King, Jason Steele, and Ethan Nwaneri for the preparation camp in Florida.

The squad awaits the arrival of Arsenal players Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze, and Noni Madueke, along with Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who will arrive within the next 24 hours. The other four players are expected to join over the weekend.

All five additional players, although not in Thomas Tuchel’s full World Cup squad, are eligible to play in friendly matches against New Zealand and Costa Rica. They will remain in Florida for the entire camp.

Scott was included in Tuchel’s provisional 55-man squad for the tournament but did not make the final cut. This opportunity allows him a chance to debut before the summer break. He previously received a call-up for November matches but did not play.

Tuchel expressed satisfaction with Scott’s commitment to the team, highlighting his desire to participate in the pre-camp.
