Breaking News: Conor McGregor to Return at UFC 329
Conor McGregor will return to the octagon for the first time in five years. He will face Max Holloway in a welterweight bout at UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas.
The 37-year-old Irish fighter has not competed since breaking his leg in a match against Dustin Poirier in 2021. McGregor was initially set to fight Michael Chandler in 2024 but withdrew due to a broken toe.
This upcoming match is a rematch of their 2013 featherweight bout, which McGregor won by points. Holloway, 34, is considered a tough opponent, having consistently performed at a high level in recent years.
Additionally, Liverpool’s Paddy Pimblett will also fight at UFC 329 against Benoit Saint-Denis. This will be Pimblett’s first bout since losing to Justin Gaethje in January.
British flyweight Lone’er Kavanagh will compete against Brandon Royval, and Luke Riley will face Kai Kamaka in the featherweight division.
McGregor has a professional record of 22 wins and 6 losses since his debut in 2008. He was the UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion, holding titles in featherweight and lightweight.
