Breaking News: Iran Launches Missile Attack on U.S. Forces
Iran has launched multiple ballistic missiles targeting American forces in the Middle East, according to the U.S. military. The attack took place at 5:45 PM EDT (9:45 PM GMT) on Tuesday. All missiles were successfully intercepted, as reported by U.S. Central Command (Centcom), which did not specify the locations of the targets.
In retaliation, U.S. and Saudi Arabian forces conducted strikes against Iran-aligned terrorists in Iraq. This action follows a series of over 30 drone attacks directed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the past 72 hours.
Centcom stated that the strikes targeted multiple logistics and weapons sites in eastern Iraq. They emphasized that Iran and its proxies must stop these attacks to avoid further U.S. military responses.
Earlier on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia reported intercepting drones aimed at its petroleum facilities, which were allegedly launched by Iranian-affiliated militia groups.
These renewed hostilities follow a brief pause in fighting, coinciding with U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments about “very friendly negotiations” with Iran.
