Breaking News: Andrew and Tristan Tate Arrested in the US
Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been arrested in the United States. This follows new charges announced by British authorities.
The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has charged Andrew Tate with seven counts of rape and other offenses, including sex trafficking and child pornography. Tristan Tate faces one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts related to trafficking for sexual exploitation.
These alleged crimes occurred between July 2010 and August 2017. The Tates have denied any wrongdoing.
Malcolm McHaffie, head of the CPS’s Special Crime Division, stated that these charges bring the total number of alleged victims to seven. The US Marshals confirmed that the brothers were taken into custody as part of extradition proceedings.
The CPS has requested their extradition from the US, where they hold dual citizenship. A lawyer for the Tates expressed confidence in their innocence, calling the charges a “political hit.”
In May 2025, prosecutors confirmed that the Tates would face a total of 21 charges in the UK. They were previously arrested in Romania and are under investigation there.
