Breaking News: Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv Again
At least 10 people have been killed in Russian strikes on Kyiv, according to the city’s military administrator, Timur Tkachenko. The attacks occurred on the second night of bombardments this week.
Tkachenko reported that 46 individuals were injured, including five children. Rescue operations are ongoing at more than 20 sites, with residential buildings in two districts suffering damage.
The strikes took place just before a NATO summit in Turkey, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to meet with President Trump. Earlier, Zelensky warned that Moscow was preparing a second “massive strike” on Kyiv, following an attack on Thursday that resulted in 30 deaths.
Russian ballistic missiles targeted various locations in the city, leading to fires in apartment complexes. Mayor Vitaly Klitschko confirmed that warehouses and a garage workshop were also damaged.
Photos from the scene show smoldering wreckage and damaged vehicles. Emergency crews are searching for survivors amid the debris.
Zelensky has called on allies to expedite the delivery of long-range missiles to aid Ukraine’s defense efforts.
