At least 11 people have died due to drone strikes in Ukraine. This includes children at a holiday camp in a Russian-held area in the east.

On Friday night, eight people, including two children, were killed in a suspected Ukrainian attack on holiday camps in Zaporizhia, according to regional governor Yevgeny Balitsky. The strike hit the seaside village of Kyrylivka. Ukraine has not commented on this incident.

Balitsky accused Ukraine of targeting civilians and reported that 14 others, including three children, were injured.

In Ukraine’s Sumy region, a Russian drone strike on a civilian facility resulted in a large fire. Three drivers for the Ukrainian postal service Nova Poshta were killed in this attack.

Romania’s defense ministry reported that its forces shot down a drone breaching its airspace near the Ukrainian border. Romanian President Nicusor Dan confirmed that the drone was intercepted by an F-16 pilot.

Both sides continue to deny targeting civilians amid rising civilian deaths in the ongoing conflict.
