Breaking: President Trump Announces US-Iran Deal to End 100-Day War, Signing Scheduled for Friday

Breaking News: US-Iran Deal to be Signed This Friday

US President Donald Trump has announced that a deal with Iran will be signed this Friday. This follows a week of statements indicating a ceasefire after over 100 days of conflict.

Iran has confirmed the announcement, stating that the war, which began on February 28, will officially end early Monday morning GMT.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif first revealed the news on social media. He stated that a “permanent termination of military operations” had been agreed upon, including in Lebanon. Trump later confirmed the deal, stating it includes the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the removal of the US naval blockade.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, stated that an end to military operations is expected soon. He mentioned that negotiations for a final agreement will take place over 60 days, contingent on the US fulfilling its commitments.

The draft agreement reportedly includes a complete cessation of hostilities, lifting of the naval blockade, and the release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets.

The official signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland, with technical talks planned throughout the week.
