Breaking: Turkish and Syrian Intelligence Arrest 10 Suspected ISIL Members Linked to Terrorist Attacks in Turkiye

Breaking News: Ten Arrested in Turkey-Syria Operation

Turkish and Syrian intelligence services have arrested ten individuals suspected of links to ISIL (ISIS). The arrests occurred in Syria during a joint operation reported by Turkish state broadcaster TRT on Saturday.

The suspects are accused of involvement in what officials have labeled “terrorist attacks” in Turkey. The National Intelligence Organization of Turkey stated that the operation was targeted, with agents closely monitoring the suspects’ movements.

Interpol had issued Red Notices for all ten individuals, which serve as international alerts for their arrest pending extradition. One detainee is reportedly connected to the 2015 twin bombings in Ankara that killed over 100 people.

Another suspect, identified as Ali Bora, is believed to have been ISIL’s intelligence chief in Turkey since 2014. During questioning, the detainees allegedly admitted to being ISIL members and receiving training and operational instructions from the group.

This operation highlights increasing cooperation between Turkey and Syria’s intelligence services.
