Breaking News: Train Collision in Bedford
Emergency services are responding to a collision involving two trains in the Bedford area. The British Transport Police has confirmed the incident.
Operator East Midlands Railway reported that two of its trains were involved in the crash.
Footage from the scene shows the damaged trains and passengers being evacuated.
One passenger, Pete Knapp, described the crash as feeling “like [he’d] been in a bomb explosion,” according to a statement made to the BBC.
Emergency teams are currently on-site assessing the situation and assisting those affected.
