Breaking News: Iran Leaves Message After World Cup Draw
Iran’s national football team left a handwritten message in their dressing room after a goalless draw against Belgium at the Los Angeles Stadium. The note expressed hopes for “peace, respect, and friendship among all nations.”
This message was shared by the Football Federation of Iran (FFIRI). It highlighted the team’s pride in representing Iran, stating, “We came to Los Angeles with pride, competed with honour, and leave with dignity.”
The note thanked Los Angeles for its hospitality and acknowledged the support from Iranians during the match. It also referred to a tragic attack on a girls’ school in Minab, which resulted in numerous casualties.
Iran is currently participating in the World Cup amid ongoing negotiations between their country and the United States, the co-hosts of the tournament along with Canada and Mexico.
