Breaking News: Rider Dies in North West 200 Qualifying Incident
A rider has died following a crash during Superbike qualifying for the North West 200 international road race in Northern Ireland on Thursday. The incident occurred at Station Corner, prompting officials to red-flag the session.

This incident marks the first fatality at the North West 200 since 2016, bringing the total number of fatalities in the event’s 97-year history to 20. Superbike qualifying was the first session of the day, and no further sessions took place in the afternoon.
Qualifying sessions have been rescheduled for Thursday night, and race organizers have yet to confirm if additional races will occur on Saturday. The North West 200 is an international road race held on 8.97 miles of closed public roads along the north coast of Northern Ireland.
