Breaking News: UK Government Responds to Iranian Threats
The British government has stated it is “ready 24/7 to defend itself” following Iran’s declaration that UK bases used by the US are “legitimate targets.” Iran’s foreign ministry labeled the UK an “accomplice” in the US military actions.
The UK has allowed the US to conduct “defensive” operations from its bases, refusing to support offensive actions against Iran. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps warned that any country aiding the US would face consequences.
This statement comes as the US continues airstrikes against Iranian targets for the 13th consecutive night. President Trump has criticized the UK for its perceived lack of support in the conflict.
The UK Ministry of Defence has not confirmed whether RAF Fairford was used in recent US operations. A government spokesperson reiterated that the UK Armed Forces are prepared to protect the nation from attacks, collaborating with NATO allies.
Iran previously threatened the UK, stating it would have the “right to self-defence” if the UK joined the conflict. Recent reports indicated Iranian missile capabilities, but officials have expressed doubts about the accuracy and reliability of Iran’s missile arsenal.
