Breaking News: Zack Polanski Refuses to Apologize to Nigel Farage
Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, has declined three times to apologize to Nigel Farage. This follows Polanski’s reposting of a photo showing a man in a t-shirt featuring a guillotine and the slogan “we’re only making plans for Nigel.”
Zia Yusuf, a spokesperson for Reform UK, stated that the image could be seen as an “incitement to murder.” Polanski deleted the photo but claimed he had not been contacted by police regarding the matter.
During an interview with BBC Newsnight, Polanski described the repost as an “inadvertent mistake” and accused Farage of manipulating the situation. He stated that he would not apologize, emphasizing his commitment to condemning political violence.
Polanski also mentioned receiving a death threat, adding that the escalating rhetoric surrounding the issue puts him at risk. He expressed concern that apologizing would only fuel further conflict.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are reviewing the complaint filed against Polanski. Meanwhile, Reform UK has requested an investigation into whether Polanski breached the code of conduct as an elected member.
