Job Title: Senior Category Manager – Beauty and Personal Care
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Category Manager to drive category growth strategies into actionable customer and channel plans. This role requires close collaboration with retailer teams and cross-functional departments, including Sales, Category Strategy, Shopper Marketing, Consumer Market Insights, and Customer Supply Chain. Your primary focus will be to enhance category growth, improve the shopper experience, and create mutual value.
As a category expert and strategic advisor, you will leverage data, insights, and analytics to influence decisions related to assortment, merchandising, pricing, and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Insights:
- Develop and implement category growth strategies tailored to customer needs, aligning with broader business objectives.
- Translate shopper, consumer, and market insights into actionable recommendations.
- Identify growth opportunities across assortment, pricing, and shelf space.
Customer Partnership:
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with retailer buyers and merchandising teams.
- Lead category reviews and contribute significantly to line reviews and Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions.
- Deliver data-driven narratives that influence retailer decisions.
- Collaborate on retailer strategies to identify future growth opportunities.
Assortment & Shelf Optimization:
- Oversee planogram development and optimization using data analytics tools.
- Provide guidance on assortment, flow, shelving, and space allocation.
- Ensure alignment with category roles, shopper needs, retailer initiatives, and consumer research.
- Assist with planogram versioning and on-site set room work for major and minor resets.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor category and brand performance using POS, panel, and shopper data.
- Identify risks and opportunities, developing action plans to address gaps.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc reports and insights to stakeholders.
Execution Excellence:
- Support the execution of category initiatives through data-driven storytelling for resets, innovation launches, and merchandising programs.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of category tools, data, and reporting systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $119,400 – $179,000, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Bonus: Eligible for performance-based bonuses.
- Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is eligible for long-term incentives.
