Job Title: Associate Customer Business Manager (ACBM) – Ahold-Delhaize USA

Background & Purpose of the Job:

At Unilever, our Customer Business Development (CBD) team plays a crucial role in our sales organization. We collaborate closely with customers to innovate new products, enhance categories, and implement top-tier retail and shopper capabilities.

The primary goal of the Associate Customer Business Manager (ACBM) role is to build and sustain business relationships while driving profitable sales growth with Ahold-Delhaize USA. The ACBM will be responsible for meeting volume targets and managing spending goals in alignment with brand and customer joint business plans. This position will lead the deduction process across ADUSA, optimize product distribution, pricing, forecasting, and promotions to ensure profitable growth within our Foods business unit, particularly focusing on the Knorr brand and supporting other categories alongside the Senior Customer Business Manager.

In addition, the ACBM will enhance in-store and online visibility by executing effective strategies across various teams, including shopper marketing, category management, customer marketing, finance, business development, and supply chain. This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead our Omni-channel initiatives with ADUSA as we forge strategic partnerships for future success.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do:

  • Leadership Skills: Manage relationships with retailers such as Stop and Shop, The Giant Company, Giant Food, Hannaford, and Food Lion. This includes overseeing our Net Sales Value (NSV), turnover, forecasting, trade investments, plan-o-grams, and retail initiatives.

  • Strategic Thinker: Customize corporate marketing and merchandising programs for Ahold banners and coordinate Category Management and Joint Business Plans.

  • Results-Oriented: Drive strategic relationships and accelerate growth while adhering to approved Trade Marketing parameters and optimizing trade investment efficiency.

  • Connector: Collaborate with multiple internal and external departments, balancing individual customer needs with overall market integrity.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, and Category Management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with IRI, Evergreen, Merlin, and Customer POS Data is highly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills to navigate complexity.
  • Proven relationship-building and management capabilities.
  • Negotiation skills and a high level of organization.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $88,600 and $133,000. Unilever considers various factors when determining compensation, including skills, experience, training, and other organizational needs.

Bonus Structure:

This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus.
