Job Title: SAP EWM/ECC Operations Manager
Main Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM/ECC Operations Manager to oversee the functionality of SAP EWM/ECC in the production area. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up master data, managing new SKUs, implementing changes to Bills of Materials (BOM), and ensuring the system aligns with planning requirements.
Key responsibilities include conducting end-to-end testing for each new SKU, ensuring that pre-weighing processes can be fractionated, and managing the generation of pallet labels during packaging. You will also be responsible for training users in EWM, SAP, and other systems to enable them to execute processes independently.
Safety and compliance are paramount; therefore, you will ensure adherence to workplace safety, health, and environmental protection standards. A deep understanding of EWM/SAP processes across all operational areas, including internal material flows, is essential. Familiarity with the interaction of EWM, SAP, MES, UNS, and other plant systems is required.
You will ensure accurate material consumption postings, analyze deviations, and work with process engineers to address waste issues. Regular inventory controls will be part of your duties, including delegating tasks to the SAP specialist team to review material availability post-release of the upcoming week’s plan. You will also actively prepare for and support the annual inventory process.
The role includes executing month-end closures without financial discrepancies, tracking and clarifying losses attributed to EWM/SAP, and opening tickets with the central team in India for resolution. You will propose and support the development of ideas for simplifying and improving new transactions in EWM.
Additionally, you will manage purchasing, inventory, and consumption for over 15 New Product Introductions (NPIs), all of which have a direct impact on operations, including chemicals, cleaning materials, and packaging. Continuous communication with the Finance department will be necessary to monitor financial metrics related to production orders, process orders, and premixes.
You will also be responsible for developing your team, which consists of three SAP specialists (one per shift), reviewing incidents in Kronos, and approving payroll while ensuring efficient management of overtime. Constant communication with the Logistics team is essential to ensure proper parameter settings for materials on the RPM side and to avoid system errors.
