Breaking: Airstrikes in Gaza City Kill Seven on Eid al-Adha, Leaving Families in Despair

Breaking News Report

Gaza City – On the first day of Eid al-Adha, a missile strike in Gaza City caused significant destruction. Widad Al-Husari, 31, was celebrating with her family on a rooftop when an explosion interrupted their evening. In a panic, Widad and her three-year-old son, Rafiq, fell through a hole created by the missile.

Widad was found hanging from metal rods, while flames raged below. She and her child were rescued by family members. The strike killed seven people, including two children, and injured eighteen others.

Zuhdia Azzam, 60, was hosting family for Eid when a missile struck her building. Her 12-year-old granddaughter, Sidra, was killed, and another granddaughter, Sham, lost her leg in the blast.

Despite a ceasefire in place since October 2025, violence continues in Gaza. Reports indicate that around 930 Palestinians have been killed in ongoing attacks. Many families receive evacuation orders shortly before their homes are destroyed.

Imad Khroub, 55, lost his home after receiving a military evacuation call. He and his family escaped with only the clothes they were wearing. The situation remains dire for many in Gaza, with continued fear and uncertainty.
