Breaking News: Four Dead in Merseyside Car Crash
Four men have died after a car crashed into a lamp-post in Merseyside. The incident occurred on Liverpool Road, Huyton, just before 02:00 BST.
The victims include two men aged 23, one aged 24, and another aged 26. They died at the scene, according to Merseyside Police. A 27-year-old man, a passenger in the vehicle, has been taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The black Seat Cupra was traveling from Liverpool towards Knowsley when it left the road and hit the lamp-post.
In response to the crash, eleven roads in the area have been closed, including Liverpool Road and East Prescot Road, from the junction of Princess Drive and Finch Lane. These closures are expected to remain in place over the weekend as police conduct their investigation.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area before it occurred to come forward with information.
