Breaking: Major Fire Prompts Closure of National Trust and RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserves; Public Urged to Avoid Area

Breaking News: Fire Near Nature Reserves in Suffolk

A fire has broken out in an area close to the RSPB Minsmere nature reserve in Suffolk. Much of the affected area is a nature reserve owned by the National Trust, which is assisting firefighters.

Both the National Trust Dunwich Heath and the nearby nature reserve are now closed. Authorities are asking the public to avoid Westleton Heath, Mount Pleasant, Westleton Walks, and the main bridleway from the entrance road towards Dunwich.

Fire service crews are actively working to control the fire using off-road vehicles, drones, and quad bikes. They advise that members of the public stay away from the area and keep roads clear for emergency vehicles.

Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
