Breaking News: Arrest in Bedford Family Murders
Police in South Africa have arrested a man suspected of murdering his wife and two daughters near Bedford. The victims, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5, were found dead at their home in Great Denham on Monday.
The suspect, Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, is a Zimbabwean national. He left the UK via Heathrow Airport two days before the bodies were discovered, using a British passport.
On Friday, he was arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in the UK has authorized three murder charges against him.
South African police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe stated that this arrest sends a strong message that the country will not be a safe haven for suspected criminals. She emphasized, “We will trace you, we will find you and we will arrest you.”
