Powerful 7.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Venezuela, Leaving Buildings Collapsed and Residents Trapped

Breaking News: Earthquake in Venezuela

On June 24, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, the second measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale. The tremors began just as Karina Blanco was about to start a spinning class. She and her students quickly evacuated the building.

Karina’s daughter, Fabiana, 12, was at home in Caraballeda. During the quake, she was in her mother’s bedroom when the walls began to collapse around her. Fabiana managed to hold onto the kitchen counter but was thrown to the ground as her apartment’s walls fell.

Karina rushed home after the earthquake, only to find her building had collapsed. She saw part of her daughter’s bed sticking out from the debris and feared the worst.

Fabiana was trapped under the rubble for 32 hours. During this time, she remained calm despite her anxiety. A nurse from the building above called out and confirmed Fabiana was alive.

Later, the nurse was rescued and informed volunteers about Fabiana’s situation. Karina was overjoyed to learn her daughter was alive and began searching for her amidst the rubble. Rescue efforts are ongoing.
