Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Palmira, Colombia
Unilever is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team at the Palmira plant. This role is crucial for ensuring operational excellence and compliance with global standards.
Purpose of the Role
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will lead and ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) at our site. Your responsibilities will include aligning with Colombian regulations, international standards (FSSC 22000, BRC), Unilever guidelines, and export market requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System.
- Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead performance analyses.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g., INVIMA, FDA).
- Oversee the management of non-conformities, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage quality documentation for the site.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and standards like BRC and FSSC 22000.
- Collaborate with production and supply chain teams on non-conforming products.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives (PDCA, R2S).
- Train teams on quality-related topics.
- Ensure adherence to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Bacteriology, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Food Science, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in quality assurance, with experience in management systems.
Key Knowledge Areas
- Quality Management Systems
- HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC
- Performance indicator management and data analysis
- SAP (preferred)
- Intermediate Office skills
- Familiarity with quality tools and systems (e.g., Quality One)
