Reports to: Manufacturing & Maintenance Manager
Location: Calle 21-E No. 1, Civac Jiutepec Mor, 62578 Cuernavaca, MOR, Mexico
Terms & Conditions: Full-Time – 100% On-Site – Availability for Shifts Required

Position Purpose
The Shift Leader will ensure the plant meets its objectives regarding safety, quality, cost, and service. This role involves the effective implementation of continuous improvement methodologies daily, acting as a bridge between the factory and support areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s safety, health, and environmental standards to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or actions that could jeopardize the safety of personnel or company assets.
  • Implement safety standards with a focus on Process Safety Management (PSM).
  • Adhere to quality, hygiene, and good manufacturing practices to meet product specifications and customer expectations.
  • Familiarity with BRC, ISO, FDA, and HACCP certification processes.
  • Utilize and implement tools from the Unilever Manufacturing System for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate production plans while ensuring safety and quality.
  • Manage personnel, payroll, vacations, and permissions in alignment with company policies.
  • Show a genuine commitment to employee welfare.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes.
  • Ensure compliance with production plans while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Oversee operational controls to meet production plans.
  • Understand and manage waste processes effectively.
  • Lead safety initiatives and quality routines.
  • Execute the autonomous maintenance program.
  • Conduct operational meetings (FOS).
  • Ensure timely and accurate adherence to production plans around the clock.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production lines.
  • Certification in WCM, TPM, LEAN, or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Familiarity with audit processes.

  • NOM-018-STPS-2015: Hazards and risks from hazardous substances.
  • NOM-030-STPS-2009: Preventive safety and health services.
  • NOM-028-STPS-2012: Safety in processes and equipment with chemicals.
  • NOM-010-STPS-2014: Chemical contaminants in the workplace.
  • NOM-002-STPS-2010: Fire prevention and protection.
  • NOM-004-STPS-1999: Safety systems and devices in machinery.
  • NOM-006-STPS-2014: Handling and storage of materials.
  • NOM-017-STPS-2008: Personal protective equipment.
  • NOM-035-STPS-2018: Psychosocial risk factors.
