Breaking News: Tyson Fury to Return to the Ring
Tyson Fury has announced his return to boxing. He plans to fight in Dublin on August 1, 2026. This event will take place one week after Anthony Joshua’s comeback fight.
Fury and Joshua are set for a long-anticipated match, dubbed the “Battle of Britain,” likely in November. Both fighters are expected to have warm-up bouts beforehand.
Joshua will face Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25. This will be Joshua’s first fight since a car accident in Nigeria last December that resulted in the deaths of two friends.
Fury shared a training video from Thailand on Instagram, confirming his fight date. No opponent has been officially named yet, but promoter Frank Warren has ruled out a bout with Andy Ruiz Jr.
In April, Fury ended a 16-month retirement with a points victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov. After the fight, he called out Joshua, who was present at ringside. The two exchanged words, with Joshua asserting his dominance.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that the fight between Joshua and Fury is officially in the works.
