Breaking News: President Trump Pauses Attacks on Iran for Second Night to Allow Diplomacy, U.S. Ambassador Confirms

Breaking News: US-Iran Tensions Ease Temporarily

President Donald Trump has paused military actions against Iran for the second consecutive night, according to US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz. This decision aims to allow more time for diplomatic discussions.

An Iranian army spokesperson confirmed that Tehran has also halted “retaliatory” actions in the region. This pause follows nearly two weeks of escalating US strikes and reciprocal attacks, which had disrupted a ceasefire established in June.

Waltz stated that while the president is providing space for talks, all options remain available. He dismissed reports suggesting that military resources are running low, asserting that the US military is fully equipped for ongoing operations.

As of Sunday evening, President Trump had not publicly addressed the situation but shared images on his Truth Social account depicting military actions against Iranian targets.

In related news, Iran and Oman conducted technical talks in Tehran regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping route.

Tensions in the region have led to increased oil prices, reaching $100 a barrel for the first time since May. President Trump is scheduled to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday.
