Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Market Security Specialist to oversee the security function within our Sales Field Operations and Country Risk Assessment teams. This pivotal role is responsible for developing and implementing security procedures tailored to market needs, ensuring the safety of our personnel and assets.
The Market Security Specialist will execute the market security plan, evaluating threats, risks, and available resources. This position requires close collaboration with the Mexico Sales team and Customer Development leaders to ensure that security measures align with local risk levels while adhering to Global Group standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with market teams to analyze security threats and risks, implementing mitigation strategies and countermeasures as necessary. Escalate higher-level risks when required.
- Provide security guidance to sales teams and travelers operating in high-risk areas.
- Partner with the Market Security Leader to develop and implement Incident Management plans at the country level.
- Ensure effective application of the security framework across market and country levels.
- Conduct security risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls, including personnel, processes, and technology.
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive, cost-effective security solutions for the market.
- Perform physical security risk assessments for new field operations.
- Coordinate and deliver security training for employees, security teams, and third-party partners.
- Assess and review security contracts for compliance and effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, intelligence briefings, threat assessments, and investigative findings.
- Engage with regional security networks to share information on trends and best practices, participating in industry forums and staying updated on emerging security technologies.
Requirements & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Security, Business Administration, Criminology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in roles such as Security Analyst, Risk Analyst, Compliance/Internal Control, or Fraud and Loss Prevention, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience in a corporate security role with significant coordination responsibilities.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
- Strong data handling skills with the ability to derive actionable insights.
