Job Title: Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Supervisor

Job Purpose:
The Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Supervisor is responsible for supporting and implementing Occupational Safety initiatives to achieve excellence at our sites. This role involves collaboration with Supply Chain teams to execute the SHE Strategy and improvement plans, aiming for sustainable SHE excellence by reducing injury rates and enhancing the Safety Culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SHE Manager and team in implementing effective policies, guidelines, and procedures to meet departmental objectives.
  • Deploy the global and regional SHE strategy, policies, and standards at sites to achieve sustainable results.
  • Monitor SHE performance indicators and provide timely monthly and quarterly reports, both internal and external.
  • Guide functions in implementing SHE requirements effectively.
  • Develop and execute plans to enhance driving safety and improve occupational safety records at the sites.
  • Oversee and promote safety activities within the factory.
  • Ensure the implementation of training, toolbox meetings, and drills as part of the company’s training and safety program, including emergency response systems.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments and collaborate with sites to develop and implement improvement action plans.
  • Work with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local, national, and Unilever standards regarding Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Support the alignment and attainment of the department/plant budget.
  • Prepare safety incident reports, conduct investigations, and perform root cause analyses to define and implement corrective actions.
  • Increase SHE awareness among employees through various communication channels.
  • Maintain compliance with all SHE Unilever framework standards and legal requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, coordinating necessary activities and informing relevant personnel.
  • Control major risks by ensuring plans and actions are in place to mitigate the impact of accidents.
  • Implement internal SHE audits and inspection systems to ensure compliance with processes and systems.
  • Perform trend analyses for accidents and incidents.
  • Identify training needs and assist in delivering training programs related to occupational safety, risk assessments, safety committee activities, incident analyses, legal compliance, safe travel, and safety performance KPI reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or EHS-related field.
  • Experience in an EHS department or with SHE teams.
  • Factory or industrial-based EHS experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent observation and auditing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of machinery and/or process safety.
  • Experience with third-party audits.
  • Certification and/or advanced degree in a STEM-related field.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.

Bonus and Incentives:
This position is eligible for bonuses and long-term incentives.
