Job Purpose
As the Head of Engineering and Projects, you will lead multifunctional engineering projects from conception to execution. Your focus will be on improving operational efficiency, implementing new technologies, and ensuring successful product launches while adhering to safety standards (PSM/SHE) and effectively managing capital expenditures (Capex).
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee end-to-end multifunctional projects within our manufacturing operations.
- Project Planning and Execution: Coordinate and execute engineering projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency, implementing new equipment or processes, and supporting product launches.
- PSM Expertise: Act as the point of reference for Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Conceptualization and Design: Participate in the conceptualization and design phases of projects.
- Budgeting and Documentation: Prepare budgets for new projects and develop conceptual engineering documentation and execution plans.
- Process Establishment: Define processes, procedures, and technical specifications for all project aspects.
- Project Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, risk assessments, and progress reports.
- Technical Evaluation: Assess technical proposals for equipment, fittings, and installations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to SHE policies, standards, and procedures.
- Project Methodology: Lead projects using Early Equipment Management (EEM) methodology.
- Capex Forecasting: Monitor and forecast capital expenditures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing plants and engineering project management.
- Team Management: Experience in managing teams and supervising third-party contractors.
